It’s been a while that people are losing interest in
space exploration after the moon landing which is one of the most viewed event
in the history of television. But Elon Musk who is CEO of Tesla is looking
forward to revive the Human interest in Space by making rockets that can land
themselves. They became successful in launching one of the world’s most
powerful rockets Falcon Heavy which is huge step toward realizing the dream of
reaching Mars one day in the upcoming future.
Although, the journey toward making this company has been
a tough one so far, as he faces a lot of criticism from people in NASA. They
depict Him as crazy man, because they believe that it is not possible for
private company like Space X to pursue these kinds of baseless endeavors which
seems impossible without state department help. But He proved them wrong by
reverting the laws of physics by landing the rocket boosters on ground. In
order to achieve this milestone, He nearly lost all of his fortune and was on
last leg to stop this venture until the launch turned out being a huge success.
This all get started from the disrespect by Russian designer who refuses to
sell the rocket and eventually spits on him in the process.
The success came when they got contract from NASA of 1.6
billion to launch cargo to the International space station. Now with the
support of government, Musk’s dream of colonizing Mars is ever closer to
achieve.
I think that space is the next frontier for humans to reach
out and explore it. As it is ingrained in our DNA that we are explorers and
creators from the time we step foot on this earth. There is also a fear that
humans might fight over the resources on Mars, which can be devastating end of
our science fiction fairy tale.
