multimedia messaging app used globally is all set to put foot in the hardware
industry and they do so by introducing the Snapchat Spectacle about three years
ago which is their take on wearable computing. Their efforts go in vain, when
the first two versions of the spectacles didn’t work out according to the
expectations. Many users believe that it is an expensive toy with average
features.
Snapchat is all set to change the perception of people by
introducing their all new Spectacles 3 which is one step forward from taking
pictures and making videos simultaneously uploading them on Snapchat, as your
snaps. It basically changes the way we see world around us by incorporating
animations in real time.They believe that it will have huge impact on fashion
forward and creative audience. In terms of their users on social media
platform, if they find some connection between the Spectacles 3 and mobile app
which provide numerous playful augmented reality features. I think that’ll
work, as it enables me to put filters in real time through my glasses on
anything I want, whether on people, locations and several other experiences.
Spectacles is very fashion forward as it has slick design
with aluminum body, two cameras with light buffers which looks quite cool. This
time around Spectacles has taken a huge leap forward introducing filters that
primarily integrate the real world with snaps. You can put animations in real
time videos which is quite amazing and playful at the same time. You can simply
connect the Spectacles with your phone by scanning the QR code.The second camera on the Spectacles is used to take 3D
photographs in real time. These photographs can be viewed through the
Spectacles cardboard which also remind us about the view through toy camera
which is fascinating.
Although, Spectacle 3 stills needs a lot of development
in term of software because it doesn’t have many extensive features like Apple
and Microsoft does have on their product. It has huge potential in terms of
product of future, as our lives are getting immersed with artificial
experiences.
